Fishy Business began in Horseheads NY in 1988, in the dining room of a  man with a passion for fishing.  Gerald Pease, or Fishy to his friends, started out small selling hooks, split shots, and fishing poles. His operation expanded to his front porch adding additional fishing supplies. He did many area shows with his fishing buddy daughter Jennifer throughout the years.

In 2005, he moved to Yates County. In 2007, Gerald and his wife Carol Quakenbush Pease had a dream to build a pole barn to house Fishy Business. Unfortunately, Carol passed away shortly after seeing their dreams come true.

In 2011, Fishy Business began an expansion project adding his current wife Joanne’s Ladies sections and Kids Korner. In May of 2011, Fishy Business showcased their new expanded store as it is today to the public in a special open house dedicated to Carol’s dream.
In 2013, Fishy retired from building helicopter parts and decided to run Fishy Business full-time year round.

Today Fishy Business has a multitude of different lures, a wide variety of poles, hooks, baits, camping supplies, swimming & boating needs, hunting supplies, novelty signs, flasks, wine stoppers, shirts, watershoes and more.  There is something for everyone.
